Solar Plexus Clown Gliders is a surreal 3D game I want to work on, but it's currently on the back-burner while I learn Godot. It will be a 3D exploration game made in response to "weird" brainrot games that I had seen get popular that seemed to be primarily user-hostile and an eyesore rather than legitimately funny or engaging. I'm still working on the plot, but the story so far is that there are people called "Transistors" who channel static electricity to travel into pocket dimensions called "Sectors" and clean up anomalies and other things not supposed to be there. The main character, Lake, eventually is contacted by a group of Oracles for help, as they are all trapped. Lake then has to travel through the Sectors freeing and rescuing the various Oracles. Something like that, definitely will change over time.
The game will feature heavy use of mixed media, particularly hand-drawn (or mouse-drawn) sprites in conjunction with real life photos as textures and other elements. I'm thinking of leaning into the weirdcore aesthetic (not the bullshit Tiktok version of "weirdcore" that just means "my OC has an eye for a head"), particularly inspired by early internet aesthetics. Each of the Oracles' color palettes consist almost exclusively of two complimentary colors to differentiate all of them (there's quite a few). Most of the character sprites will only have 2-3 colors, at least that's how it's going so far. Again, this is on the back-burner so I'm not really thinking about ideas for this game at the moment.
